Windy

Be anchored in Christ!

Windy here, but no dust is blowing, yet. So, it’s not bad digs for a breezy day or two of van-
life because the temperatures are reasonable, yet the weatherman reports record hot days
are fast approaching. Being in this temporarily temperate locale is mostly due to the
“chasing 70” rule, an axiom of RV’ers everywhere. BTW, RV-ing rules are brilliant … once
you embrace a nomadic lifestyle.

The wind is also instructive in a practical way. It scattered my camping set-up everywhere,
openly displaying every weak point, items not secured, strapped, or otherwise attached or
heavy per se. It’s a picture of life. Makes one want to tighten stuff down. If I were cloistered
in a house somewhere I may not even notice that the wind was blowing. But to be nomadic
is to know that the elements are real. I’m ready – to prepare or pivot.

So, I’ll be here for a few more days, then back into the valley. If evenings are too hot, I’ll
escape to a pine canyon hideout for cool nights. I should have been far east of here by now
(at higher elevations) but there is a honey-do item, and I will connect with the local guys
following Christ – guys I disciple – by The Spirit. I love these guys.

One of them reports he shared The Milk and The Keys, at a men’s discussion group just last
week. Fabulous! That’s all that can be done, share these first-century concepts and allow
believers and The Spirit to make application – adding good weight to their lives.

I likewise had opportunity to share the principles of Christ (The Milk) with a brother I met
yesterday at a gun safety class. Gave him a fresh copy of The Milky Way and traded contact
cards. We will see what comes of this encounter. I’m praying he is responsive and The Spirit
is blowing thru his life.

“The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it
comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” – John 3:8

The divine guidance of The Spirit is unpredictable. This is why I am still in the desert
southwest. Because The Spirit of Truth whirls into my plan and instructs me that anything
not real, secured, substantial – of The Kingdom – is gonna blow away like trash. “Woe, is
me” if I ever abandon the mission.
