PSA, I found a quality music station on Utube – spartacus. Wide variety, commercial free, and best of all super high-fidelity recordings. I commented to Spartacus that my ears said, Thank you very much!
Not much on this old body really works like it used to except my ears. I’ll admit I have a hard time hearing you speak if there is much background noise, so I read lips a bit. But when it comes to music, I can hear a pin drop off beat or off tune. So, all the low-quality recordings grossly smeared all over Utube drive me nutty. It’s like, I know the real music is in there somewhere, but where?
But right now, I have my Sony headphones on tight half volume listening to some soft soulful lyric rich Reggae, The World Is Waiting, Let Babylon Burn. It’s recorded live, LIVE mind you, and it sounds insanely perfect. Spartacus!
Gaining some inspiration to write this impromptu blog.
Nothing prepared. Two weeks busy with van stuff, nothing major – many small things, more so just laughing and visiting with my gracious friends here in Los Alamos, and it’s dusting clean snow on the mountains, and I am starting to plan the next leg of this trip. Shall I go through Phoenix, Az or Hurricane, Ut on my run through Las Vegas? Won’t hang there long, just buy and stick-on the 2026 tags in Pahrump, pick up some mail and say hello to a few faithful friends and fam. I’ll follow the leading of The Spirit of course. He loves His people, and the ones still resisting His goodness. After that I am still unsure if it’s Utah for the summer or Washington. Probably both.
In that two-week time, I did manage to write up a very insightful essay on The Keys of The Kingdom of Heaven which I shared with some of you who have read Kingdom Access. If I forgot you just ask for it. It answers a question I received online “David, in reference to 2 Peter 1:5-7, why do you think these are The Keys?”
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
I initially answered with a page of my reasons and good logic plus context, but the fellow asking was not completely convinced, and I can’t blame him. We live in an era where proofs (maybe especially Bible proofs) are expected to be like raw video evidence. But the older I get the more often I read between the lines, which is how I found (or was shown) further maybe better “proof” only one chapter after Jesus promises Peter these Keys (Matt 16:19). I sent this more comprehensive explanation (yet still not classical hermeneutics) to him just now and await his inspection. And like I said if you want to read that let me know ala email etc. It’s just maybe too long for a blog.
In general, I propose the outcome and background scene of Peter following the object lesson Jesus provides in Matt 17:24-27 and how it all follows the pattern of The Keys.
Circling back to the problem of, but for soul safety’s sake, of having a hard protocol for receiving the truth, it’s far better than being gullible. Many believers are, and many wolves roam the land looking for loot. And the dogs don’t care what it costs you. It’s sad.
Yet believers have The Spirit, and to them truth rings pure like well composed, well performed, and well recorded music. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto you!
PS: I am so enjoying the fellowship of some who have recognized the value of applying The Milk and The Keys and The Song. Could that be you too?
